June 2020 | 9 of Cups + 6 of Wands - Keep Letting the Love In

Welcome to June where love becomes an act of defiance under a dazzlingly illuminated backdrop of soon to be six planets in retrograde: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, (and Mercury starting 6/18). A review is quite literally cosmically in order, which summons a timely refresh of a theme from just six months ago: November’s: Let the Love In, where love was bubbling forth from pools of deep cosmic alignment. 

We are now reviewing this primordial creation further inspired by May’s rinse + repeat of hope, discovery, and rebirth. Realizations have been born from this wash. We no longer wish, want, or need the same things we did or called in just six months ago or maybe even yesterday. There is a new wave of abundance just below the surface. Dip your toes in. Be bathed. June leaps from high in the air to deep below the cooling waters as our lofty thoughts face gravity and descend into the watery pool of our psyche. There we are nourished. Rinsed. Rung out. And either repeated, repurposed, or released. Releasing in this tide is not a forceful act of letting go or forgetting, but better yet a radical acceptance of what is or what is no longer. What is it we’re searching for in love? It is in this seeking we realize the magnitude of all we’ve sought and in turn what it has taught us. Accept what is with ease and the knowing there are many, many more rewards to reap than what it is you may be leaving shiny and new or crumbled behind you.

We are being delivered a sweet message of weeping joy and emotional fulfillment this June. But our dreams and desires must be big and bright enough for even when it gets dark, and in the times we forget why we even wanted them, and certainly enough to say, “YES” when they actually do arrive to us.

The following affirmation is adapted from November’s 2019’s theme: 

affirm: i let love in.

“I read my heartstrings - the emanating notes of my soul. I feel the bubbling up of healing love from the water by my waist side. I wade through these emotive waters toward the genesis of love. Of creation. Pregnant with possibility - a real wave of devotion. A great gratitude stirs in my soul. The key lies deep within. Down in the vessel where all life begins. My heart holds the truth. So, I swim fiercely with the stream toward delight. In love everything falls by the wayside. Its energy is profound. It is the ultimate. I give devotion to all the things. Allow devotion in all things. This marks the genesis of relationships in my life forged from deep within the primordial Universe. I consciously connect with the unions blossoming in my life. 

My Higher Self called. They want me to tap in. Coax the wild and untamable stirrings of my soul. Release the tender feelings in my heart. The echoes of disappointment and past love faded. Instead, I ignite the budding flame of love expanding in my soul. My capacity. My willingness. My devotion. To love is ever-expanding. To unconsciously shrink this effusive effervescence of expansion would be to die. For love permeates everything as my heart beats to the tempo of the love I allow in my life. Whoever it may be from and wherever it may come from. Why would I not want this essence to enter and expand in my being?”

Affirm: I let love in. And so it is.
