Energetic Theme | November: The Taskmaster + The Dreamer

November is for:

• Asserting direction

• Clearing a path forward

• Consciously cutting through the fog

• Vocalizing your inner voice

• Being headstrong

• Seeing through your goals against all odds

• Allowing any nuggets of wisdom needed to be revealed

Inhale.
Look toward the sky.
Thank the Goddesses.
Bow your head.
Exhale.

Midway through November worker bee Mercury begins to make his wayward way backwards. We will need to be vigilant. Brandish our Ace of Swords to cut through any mental fog. A need for balance is calling to find a duality between these opposing forces. We need to assert direction in the face of any illusion. The 7 of Cups is bringing disillusionment. Fog. Wishful thinking. And clouded dreams. The message here is to not let your life be a castle in the air. We need to assert direction and charge forward with clarity. We must assert direction and make choices from a clear place. An honest place.

What dreams of yours need to be sought through? Which are illusions? In the face of this fog: Choose health. Choose productivity. Choose earth. Choose from the myriad options presenting themselves to you. Choose grounding.

Choose direction.

We do want this opportunistic air element, this sword, to be swept away by the watery emotive dreams of the 7 of Cups. We must utilize this Ace energy and cut through the fog and uncertainty to establish direction. Face the truth. Be honest with the direction you are taking in your life. Draw up a list. Make pros and cons. List your desires. Be honest about life’s practicalities. Account for finances and the day-to-day. Keep a planner. Map out the dates. Assert direction. We are being lent a hand. The Ace wants to help us. November begins a new book. So, extend your reach and grab on to this sword being presented to us. This mental clarity and deep, long-lasting opportunity for change. Get real with the direction you want to take your life. Now is the time.

Things no longer have to be left up to chance.

With the presence of this 7 of Cups, dreaming and wishing will sound a lot more fun and a heck of a lot easier. But be warned. Fight this temptation. The delays. The illusion. And assert direction.

Align with long-term goals rather than the short-term Netflix binges, the one more chapter of the amazing book, and the another walk around the block. Check in with yourself and make sure these vital self-care rituals and indulgent moments, no matter how happy they make you, have not become a lifeline. Watch out for the ego’s tricky escape routes that in reality keep you from your true life’s work, while they shout, “It’s good for you.” But only you know there is something better to attend to.

i.e. launching that dream. Maintaining your spiritual health. Calling that friend. Searching for that new job. Planning that move.

It can be tricky dealing with your ego and balancing the important self-care needs we all must attend to. So, whenever in doubt. Assert direction. Choose the harder route. It will most always be the better choice and route to take.

The Universe is being totally honest with us.

They want us to be aware that November will require balance. They want us to show up every morning and to each choice we make, to every temptation we will face, and weigh the two energies at hand. Will we align with the dreamy, albeit disillusioned, 7 of Cups? Or more wisely bind with the assertive taskmaster Ace of Swords? Which will serve you more? Which will lead you to life you are meant to live? The life available to you right this very moment. Envision what you want. Sit down and take these ideas swirling in your mind out to lunch. Treat them even. Get to know them really well. It will make those tough moments of indecision very clear when you know what’s at stake and what you are working for.

Think of these ideas like seeds. They are big little gifts from the Universe. Some may work and some may not, but each seed serves a purpose and is meant to lead you down a path. The totally outrageous, seemingly impossible ones allow us to laugh. They let us wonder for a moment about what life would look like is we took action on them. And maybe we do. Or maybe they lead us to the right path and align us with the action we are meant to take. Honor all the seeds. Every idea in your mind. And thank the Universe for showing you the way.

Overcome the fears and make a true commitment to your heart’s desires. The ones you’ve carefully considered, gotten to know, and become buddies with. If your dreams and desires were real life friends or family, I mean think of them as real people, would you treat them like most of us tend to in our minds?

i.e. Ignore them. Criticize them. Cancel last minute on meetings. Continuously reschedule the get together for another day. Go years without a hello. Pitch them a tent on the back burner. Pick them apart. Call them stupid. Wish for new ones. Pretend they don’t exist. Say you love them but never show it. Be just a real jerk toward the very dreams and desires that love you.

Would you? Are you now? Raise your hand high in the air. No matter where you are right now. Raise it with me if you’ve ever treated your life’s hopes, your dreams and desires, in any of these ways even if not just a second. (My hand is still raised).

Today, what one step can you take to show the Universe you are not here to mess? Really mull it over. Go back, sit down, and plan. Take the ideas out for that coffee date. Get to know them and thank them for their time. And consider this: how will you share your gifts and talents fully with the world?

Our mantra for this month may be unexpected: You the Muse

Oh how I love this phrase. Embody your creative soul. Let your gifts and talents burst from the seams of your starseed being. Live in your greatest inspirations. Let your soul giggle, your heart smile, and your true you shine through. Think of every self-love, artsy, motivating cliche and be it. Fully. Assert direction and align with you dreams by committing to your heart. Be the muse you are. There is only and will ever be one of you in this lifetime.

Envision your path. Align with the flowers that line it. The color of the dirt. The smell of the surrounding trees. The one-of-a-kind butterflies that frequent it. The totally you you-ness of this path will feel like a homecoming. You will feel recognized. For you are the muse. This is what showing up for yourself looks like. This is what it feels like. Why watch the videos or flip through the magazine pages when you could be the creator?

Because when you take your path, you fully inspire others to do the same. You become a living example of someone who just “does them.” What greater honor could there be? It sparks real magic.

Aaaaa. Thank the Goddess.

Recognize yourself in all the inspiration you surround yourself with. The ideas. The dreams. The soul-calling. The passion. The pull. The ringing inside. The emotion in your heart and eyes. These are all signs. Thank the Universe. This is the direction you are meant to take.

Now it’s time to take a step in the direction of your dreams.
