September 2022 | reflections on "knowing the future"
What is hope if you choose to believe only what you “know”? For knowledge is a fickle thing based on the whims of our perceived understanding. Hope is certain. Grounded in the foundation of our belief. This is where “will” is born. Where “desire” commingles with “will” birthing manifestation.
This “knowing” or awareness comes as vision tied with feelings of reality, one inevitable, destined, yet perceivably malleable, because of the frequency in which it seems to exist beyond that of the now. Free will may be nothing more than surrendering to the collapse of time and release into the present.
What is destiny? A defining of one’s reality by their circumstance, whether projected or actualized, or keen insight into a realm of “one-day” not yet embodied in a current state?
This suggestion of space, a gap between “then” and “then” raises the concept of “in-between” or limbo. The point between the edge of one cliff and beginning of another, however, we as humans may assume the following ledge to be perfectly in line and immediately after the preceding, when in actuality, the space of limbo is incalculable and can often times be equated to falling, flailing, and loss of direction. If this is the case, a trust fall is the requirement to embodying one’s destiny, the rambunctious assumption this gap is linear is necessary to suppress the inherent fight or flight response innate to all humans in order to derive an override and overcome the great chasm between “then” and “then”. This leaves us with the phenomenon of the “now.” The entirely limbo space in-between all that exists. There is no “then” if there is not a “now”, further raising the initial question of what is “knowing”…in the “now”? Mere preparation of what’s to come or a liminal invitation to define what you want it to be?
Is this then in essence the definition of infinity? An endless loop of knowledge, desire, will, and trust pushing us forward along an infinite path. One that lasts far beyond the time and space we perceive. How then do we know the future in the “now” as innately psychic beings? Is this gift to be used graciously and firmly as a blessing by that which created us or a toggled on and off option for when we ourselves are feeling fickle?
Is there an answer to this question?
Simplify it, do I know the future, do I know impressions of what could be, are these eternally ongoing evolutions or fervently tied to lineages and lifetimes again and again?
Can you hone and discern the two?
Yes, you can (says my intuition) in each moment, one by one, you discern (this tones the muscles and earns trust)
Because, even if elements are born in the past, comb through your reflections above to realize all energy is one and the same. Then and then, now and then, then and now. “Then” must be reiterated to indicate past and future. They are one and the same. Our lineages seek to coarse through and purify our roots simultaneously, live on and lighten, the lighter they become the less they age as they fold and become one again. This is karma. This is enlightenment. Weight and weightless. One and the same.
Are knowledge and hope the same thing? One feels concrete and cutoff, while the other open and eternal. What was once hope can become knowledge. Knowledge is hope’s daughter…the curious know-how, the pesky child, hope is certain because she births knowledge.
What does working with tarot or tools of divination offer?
Concretely symbolic offerings of “vision tied with feelings of reality” or simply, “knowing.” They close the chasm between “then” and “then” offering a net so-to-speak soothing the trust fall in the “now”. The perception that the “now” is still “then” or “one-day” causes the misuse of divination tools. Readings are “now” because the querent is evoking the intention of either 1/ knowledge or 2/ hope, in turn begging Source to catalyze the inquiry. However, the querent fails to realize the reaction is now already occurring by the mere suggestion of wanting to know or feeling hope toward an outcome. Those who come with knowledge to an offering of divination will often feel invalidated or frustrated because they seek hope in the fickle understanding they have already cemented as reality. Those who arrive with hope to an offering, are ready to birth the knowledge they already possess by the mere fact they are hope-filled. And so they do.
Free will, surrendering to the collapse and release of the present, is the birthing of manifestation, where will meets desire. Neither can interfere when each becomes the other. This is reality.
What about all the other forces at play? Others, situations, experiences, occurrences…how can manifestation occur by sheer will and desire?
Mere pieces to the puzzle of life. There is not immediacy to hope birthing knowledge or will commingling with desire. There is no time at all. Time is an illusion. Instead, this is Source.
In other words, free will is surrendering to Source (the now, the present) in hopes they catalyze the intention we set. Hope through trust becomes knowledge, the cycle of jumping the chasm. When it’s right on a heart level, obstacles melt away, and most everything is realized in the absence of expectation.
So why do we know things before they happen?
Free information at the town center of the Universe. An inkling breads hope, and hope needs trust, and trust turns into falling, and falling takes will, and this action strengthens trust, and trust falling becomes knowledge when our inkling is proven true. Then is then is now is then was then was now is…
September blessings…
