This launch has been a long time coming. But I could not be any more grateful for the journey it has been to get here.
So why are we here? What made us want to create this virtual storefront? Why is there a feather in the window? Valid questions. We are truly humbled by all of them.
For those who may not know me my name is Emma, and I am a graphic artist, native New Yorker, and maker of pretty things I like. I am a lover of watercolors, sketchy strokes, and the cozy feeling you get from a handmade, loved piece of artwork. My interest in creating was sparked in the fourth grade by my best friend. For months, we spent each and every recess tirelessly sketching cute girls wearing stylish clothes. We would compare and mimic one another's styles and designs. As my class work and extracurricular activities began to take up more and more time, my passion for drawing and painting fell by the wayside.
I never truly stopped creating, it was always alive in my heart. But I certainly did not explore all the possibilities of my creative mind. It took a few more years until eventually my art switch flicked back on. I was gifted my first watercolor palette, and simply couldn't resist the sketchy, watery strokes of the medium that allowed me to create landscapes, florals, and portraits in an entirely new way. After that came college, and the day I first met digital. Our romance quickly blossomed with each tantalizing pixel and processor. I realized my passion for laying things out. The millions of ways you could design a piece. The endless type choices. Resizable vector graphics. Limitless colorways. I fell in love with the infinite world of digital creating.
I decided in that moment to stop turning it off, that is, my creative mind, the one I see my world through.
And so, I made the choice to create my own studio. A place to share my passion and skills and work with others to create one-of-a-kind keepsakes that too would give them that cozy feeling.
Creating this brand has been a journey of self-discovery. One I wanted to quit a time or twenty. But there has always been something that kept bringing art back into my life. No matter how many times I have turned away. It keeps coming back. Our absence from one another only made our bond stronger when we would eventually return to each other’s side. When I began the process of launching my own business it was filled with a lot of doubt and uncertainty. I just kept going. Kept seeking. Until that very same something got me into a position where I was stuck and there was no way to turn back so that I’d have to go through. And today, is the day, I myself finally go through the very door gifted to me.

For anyone who has branded their own website or been a part of the design process you know it takes some soul-searching until you find that flow and groove. You never know how long it’ll take. But we all know that satisfying moment, that one day you jump from your chair, fist in the air, ecstatic that you finally found that it. That one typeface, stroke, or color that gets the whole ball rolling.
When designing estormstudio I wanted it to feel as if you were in an actual eclectic and cute art store. So, although you will not find fun pencils arranged in mason jars on the walls of this website, you will notice the maze like feel and how each corner seems to make you a little more curious.
